Oh my! Where has the time gone? Can you believe we are only 4 more sleeps until Christmas morning! I am thrilled to share our adorable kid-friendly holiday party we styled in partnership with Tiny Prints!
I am sure you are preparing to enjoy the highlight of this wonderful season. Squeeze in some extra fun while the kids are out of school by hosting a sugar inspired “Cookies and Cocoa “party or playdate! Baking and sipping cocoa are two popular seasonal traditions in our home! You can’t going wrong with icing and marshmallows! Be sure to check out my previous post of DIY holiday inspired baking recipes.
THE INVITE. Begin your plans with a fun-themed invitation from Tiny Prints. They have so many amazing options for us busy moms. Even our elf Leo fell in love with the red, mint, and green color palette! Such a festive combination!
THE ATTIRE. We love themed favors that can be used during and after our party. For this party, each guest received adorable custom aprons from Great Stitch! We incorporated party colors and patterns from the invitation and embroidered each guest’s name to personalize their apron! How adorable would your little party guests be?
THE PARTY. Planning the activities for a cookies and cocoa party is an easy task. Set up mini stations throughout your party space. Decorating cookies and sipping on cocoa will provide tons of fun for your party guests.
If there is no time to order cookies from your favorite baker, store purchased cookies will work perfectly. This time of year, many grocery stores have a variety of decorated and themed options that will work just as well. We even found iced gingerbread man cookies and houses that were perfect for the occasion.
The Sweets. It’s ok to have a few additional goodies available in addition to cookies. Be sure to have milk available to wash down those delicious treats. We served them in cute little clear glass milk bottles wrapped with a themed paper wrap.
THE TAKEAWAYS. Be sure to have cookie boxes on hand for guests to take their decorated cookies home. They can even show off their works of art without making a mess with the see through window. We used scalloped edged cookie boxes and added a striped ribbon and “Cookies to Go” favor tag.
The Favors. Send guests home with fun and simple favors like our festive tubes filled with colored gumballs. You can find our clear candy tubes in our shop.
